  Severe T-Cell Defects

 

 

Severe complications from common viral respiratory pathogens should raise suspicion for T cell defects. Patients with severe T cell defects may also develop failure to thrive, fungal infections, and PJP. Examples of T cell deficiencies include SCID, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich, CD4 lymphopenia, and MHC class II deficiency.
