CVID - Approximately 25% of patients develop autoimmune disease including autoimmune hemolytic anemia, autoimmune thrombocytopenia, pernicious anemia, and hypothyroidism. These features may precede the development of infections.
Patients with very low switched memory B-cells appear to be at greatest risk for bronchiectasis and autoimmune complications.
