  Chronic Granulomatous Disease

 

Chronic Granulomatous Disease - Patients are prone to excessive granuloma formation. One-half of patients develop gastrointestinal granulomata which may be large enough to cause obstruction. Granulomata can also form in the bladder or ureters leading to obstruction and hydronephrosis. The treatment of choice for obstructive granuloma is steroids.
